Finishing Software provides a variety of options for working with you. Be sure to inquire about special needs your company might have. Payment arrangements for international clients without US-based operations can be specially negotiated.

  • Retainer
If your needs span several months, and you'd like to ensure our availability for that period of time, we can book a fixed number of consultation hours for you in advance.
  • Project
Many clients prefer this method when they're working within a budget. This option works best when the project is clearly defined (what will be provided, number of drafts required, dates required). When the project is less clearly defined, we can provide a project estimate, and then bill you according to actual costs incurred so that either more or less can be done along the way.
  • Hourly
This is a good method of working on very large or lengthy projects where changes in scope or direction are anticipated. We can provide an up-front project estimate and help you understand any deviations as they occur. This estimate also helps us plan for the approximate amount of work you anticipate.
  • Capped one-time fee
When both staff time and budgets are inadequate, we can work with a 'not-to-exceed' budget. This method requires either that we define an agreeable way to scope the project, or that there's a logical way to turn over portions of the project to your staff.
  • Monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual fees
The fixed fee structure is best suited to recurring needs (e.g., marketing plan updates, Web site updates, general consultation, etc.), and ensures that time is reserved to address your ongoing needs. (Quarterly or semi-annual advance payments are requested when monthly services are less than $1000.)
  • Equity/stock
We're open to discussions of partial payment through equity/stock arrangements. Arrangements must be specially negotiated.

Advance payment for some portion of services is generally required. Inquire about special needs or special accounts payable procedures for your company.
